All rabbits pictured on site are my rabbits.
. Leonas rabbitry is a open rabbitry meaning you can see and purachase a rabbit onsite however i do not show rabbits if you are not interested in purchase, and only plan to vist, playwith and hold rabbits.
My rabbitry is not a petting zoo, large amounts of people can not stop by at once, it is stressful for young and pregnant rabbits.
As a breeder i can refuse a sale at anytime and have the choice to retain any rabbit that does not a have a deposit or is prepaid. If i feel you are unable to provide a stable, relaxing safe home sale can be refused.
I determine price of rabbit, which can be delayed until rabbit is 8 weeks. Price is determined by quality, color, sex and availability of specif variation.
To hold a rabbit or determine that the rabbit is sold a 50% deposit must be placed on rabbit, if rabbit is under 8 weeks i will inform you when the rabbit can picked up. If the rabbit which deposit is placed on is ready to be picked up a 10$ a week board fee is charged until rabbit is picked up.
A deposit is nonrefundable if you change your mind or are no longer able to purchase the rabbit. however if another rabbit appears which you like better you are able to move your deposit over to that rabbit.
I only sell healthy rabbits and will not sell a rabbit which i believe is not healthy or suffers from any health problems. However once a rabbit leaves my care and property i can no longer control what its exposed to or experiences. I can not be held responsible for a rabbits illness or even death if purchaser does not follow advice given or instructions given when first bringing home a young rabbit.
When purchasing a 8 week old rabbit purchaser must understand the animal is very young, sensitive and fragile. Netherland dwarfs and Holland lops are very small when 8 weeks old, there small bodys can only handle a certain amount of stress before becoming sick. When a rabbit is moved into a new environment it is very stressful for the rabbit, to prevent the rabbit from stressing to much it can not be held or handled for at least a week. The rabbit must be placed into a quiet environment allowing the rabbit to relax and adjust. Rabbits which do not adjust well can become sick, aggressive and overall unhappy. The rabbit should be kept inside its new cage for at least a week before being let out to explore. Once the rabbit has accepted and adjusted to its new cage you can begin to play with, hold and allow the rabbit to explore your house or even outside.

Rabbit must be 8 weeks old in order to be sold, it is illegal in Florida to sell a rabbit which is under the age of 8 weeks.
When purchasing a rabbit you must have a cage ready for the rabbit to be placed in to minimize stress on the rabbit.
If you come to my rabbitry looking for the smallest rabbit possible please understand that the smaller the rabbit is the more likely said rabbit is to have trouble adjusting or is more likely to develop health problems due to stress.
The smaller the rabbit is the more difficult it will be for the rabbit to handle stressful situations or stress brought on from small children.
Rabbits DO NOT make good pets for small children, please understand the rabbit is a living breathing animal which does not enjoy loud noises, stressful situations or presser brought on from children which are not respectful or patient.
Please understand rabbits can scratch, or even bite if not held properly or respected. Poorly handled rabbits will become aggressive and resent any type of handling.
Netherland dwarfs reach there mature weight and size quickly if you are interested in a pet which will always be small and fit into the palm of your hand please purchase a hamster or sugar glider. Even netherland dwarfs can become quite large in some peoples opinions.
Netherland dwarf mature weight 2 lbs
Holland lops mature weight 3-4 lbs
